East Africa

Kenya and Tanzania are quintessential safari Africa. These icons, immortalised in the writings of Hemingway, Ruark and Blixen, offer some of the most riveting wildlife viewing on our planet. Home to the famous wildebeest migration, the snows of Kilimanjaro, the plains of the Serengeti and Masai Mara and Africa’s Great Lakes…the waterlogged floor of The Great Rift Valley…a 180 million year old contusion in the crust of the mother continent.
Uganda, fondly referred to as the Pearl of Africa by Winston Churchill, is a destination of surprising contrasts. It has become synonymous with Gorilla trekking and is certainly one of the best countries from which to search for and experience these magnificent primates. Uganda’s wildlife and birdlife is incredibly diverse. One will constantly be amazed at the bizarre delights that abound whether at Murchison Falls near the source of the Nile, one of the best places to view the enigmatic Shoebill Stork, or at Queen Elizabeth National Park on the shores of Lake Victoria where Africa’s largest population of hippopotamus abound.
